Kelly Slater Boggles Minds with Fat Frontside Air
By Skip Snead on September 17, 2014

He’s good, that Kelly Slater guy. After all, how many 42 year olds in the world of surfing can contend for a world title against surfers half his age AND bust airs with the best of them? Only one that we can think of. King Kelly. On his first wave of his Round 2 heat in the ASP/WCT Hurley Pro at Trestles, Kelly took to the sky without any limits. And seemingly without any worry of getting hurt. He busted three feet over the lip, fell backward in the whitewater and recovered like it was nothing, as if the hand of God was helping him all along. Stuck it. Yeah, he’s pretty good that Kelly Slater guy.
