Team Honolulu Wins Red Bull Qiantang Surfing Shootout
By Skip Snead on September 11, 2014

It’s not about Hanging Ten for this surf contest. It was all about Hang Zhou, as in the Hangzhou River bore in China, which provided some epis tidal bore surf for the second annual Red Bull Surfing Shootout this week. Four teams comprised of two surfers each took to the Hangzhou River this week with their eyes set on winning the $10,000 first place check. In the end it was Team Honolulu (Jamie Sterling and Jamie O’Brien) who became the champions of the Red Bull Qiantang Surfing Shootout. Congrats to all the surfers involved!
