Warner Bros. Shuts Down Teahupoo to Film Point Break 2

By on September 11, 2014

Hollywood has a lot of cash. Warner Bros. might even have more. So much that they’ve secured the most famous big wave spot in the world all to themselves for a day of filming for their new movie, Point Break 2, the sequel to the classic 90s film, Point Break starring Patrick Swayze. Yep, they’ve actually paid to have the surf break closed down for the day, on one of the biggest swells of the year. But not all surfers are getting the short end of the stick. Warner Bros. has hired two Australian chargers to do the stunt doubling. Dyland Longbottom and Laurie Towner will be paid a nice chunk of cash to surf Teahupoo to their heart’s content. That’s all going down today and we’re sure to hear more about it as footage of the shoot leaks out across the world wide web.
