Way Back Wednesday: The Devil’s Toy

By on October 8, 2014

The 1960s brought a lot of change to America. Hippies took over San Francisco. Rock ‘n roll took off. And surfers started skateboarding. Skateboarding, in fact, took off in America, but was frowned upon by the older generation. They called skateboards “The Devil’s Toy” and in this mini movie appropriately named “The Devil’s Toy” you can see what it was all about. Who knew back then that skateboarding would one day rally to be an olympic sport, and that skaters like Tony Hawk and Ryan Sheckler would be making millions of dollars. Not sure about you, but for them, skateboarding was certainly heaven sent.
